ORDINANCE NO. 762

 

 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARY OF THE CITY MANAGER AND REPEALING ALL OTHER ORDINANCES CONCERNING SALARIES.

 

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

 Section 1. That the City Manager of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, shall receive a monthly salary of $550.00 payable at the end of each and every month.

 

 Section 2. All other ordinances in conflict with this ordinance, and all other ordinances of the City of Grand Junction concerning salaries shall be and the same are hereby repealed, and the salaries of other officers and employees of the City of Grand Junction shall be established by motion or resolution of the council.

 

 Section 3. The City Council hereby finds and determines that a special emergency exists and that the immediate passage of this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, and it shall therefore take effect upon its passage and publication.

 

 Passed and adopted this 21st day of January, 1948.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing emergency ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARY OF THE CITY MANAGER AND REPEALING ALL OTHER ORDINANCES CONCERNING SALARIES," was introduced, passed, numbered 762 and ordered published by the unanimous vote of the members of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, at a special meeting of said Council held on the 20th day of January, A. D. 1948.
