ORDINANCE NO. 792

 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL APPROPRIATION TO THE EQUIPMENT FUND AND TO THE LIBRARY GENERAL FUND

 WHEREAS, since the 1949 budget was passed and adopted, it has become necessary to make unexpected expenditures for the purchase of a street sweeper and other equipment which is needed by the City; and

 WHEREAS, since the said budget was adopted it has also been necessary to increase and improve the library facilities of the City by the purchase of additional books and by the cleaning and painting of the library building; and

 WHEREAS, the aforesaid expenses were not contemplated at the time of the passage of the annual appropriation ordinance and the expenditures were occasioned by a casualty, accident and unforeseen contingency arising after the passage of the annual appropriation ordinance;

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 Section 1. That there be and is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund to the Equipment Fund, the sum of $8,600.00, which sum has been received by the City from the sale of real estate.

 Section 2. That there be and is hereby appropriated out of the Reserve Library Fund to the General Library Fund the sum of $2,400.00.

 Passed and adopted this sixth day of July, 1949.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 792 was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 6th day of July, A. D. 1949, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City at least ten days before its final passage.
