ORDINANCE NO. 810
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF NOLAND AVENUE AND A PORTION OF THE ALLEY BETWEEN LOT 19 AND LOT 20 OF THE SOUTH FIFTH STREET SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS, the City of Grand Junction has heretofore conveyed Lot 20 of the South Fifth Street Subdivision to The Sterling Company, a corporation; and
WHEREAS, by reason of a mistake in the surveying and platting of said subdivision, the buildings located on the said Lot 20 extend over the property line into Noland Avenue and into the alleyway between Lot 19 and Lot 20 of the said subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the portion of the street which is hereinafter vacated has not been open to public travel and the vacation of a portion of the said street and the said alley will not cause any injury to the public and it will be to the best interests of the City of Grand Junction and the citizens thereof:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:
1. That the North 11 feet of that portion of Noland Avenue lying immediately South of Lot 20 and the East 1 1/2 feet of that portion of the alleyway lying between Lots 19 and 20, all in Block 1 of the South Fifth Street Subdivision in the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, shall be and the same are hereby vacated; and that the fee title to the portions so vacated shall vest in the owner of the said Lot 20 and the said portions shall be and become a part of the said Lot 20.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 810 was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body, held on the 21st day of June, 1950, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City at least ten days before its final passage.
