ORDINANCE NO. 811

 AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 80 IN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION.

 WHEREAS The St. Josephs Catholic Church is the owner of the property along both sides of the West 150 feet of the alley in Block 80 in the City of Grand Junction; and

 WHEREAS the said property is used for church and school purposes and vehicular travel through said property endangers the lives of the children; and

 WHEREAS the said St. Josephs Catholic Church has requested the City to close that portion of the said alley to vehicular traffic, and has deeded to the City for alley purposes the East 20 feet of Lot 26 in the said Block 80; and

 WHEREAS the vacation of that portion of the said alley, subject to an easement for public utilities, will not cause any injury to the public and it will be to the best interests of the City of Grand Junction and the citizens thereof:

 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 1. That the West 150 feet of the alley in Block 80, which is that portion of the alley lying between Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 and Lots 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32, shall be and the same is hereby vacated, subject to a right of way easement for the construction, operation and maintenance of water, sewer, power, gas and other public utility lines.

 Passed and adopted this 16th day of August, 1950.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 811 was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body, held on the 2nd day of August, 1950, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City at least ten days before its final passage.
