ORDINANCE NO. 814
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION.
WHEREAS A petition to annex the property hereinafter described to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, was filed with the City Clerk and considered by the City Council on August 16, 1950; and
WHEREAS the said City Council at that time found the said territory to be eligible for annexation, the petition to be signed by the required number of land owners, and all other requirements of Section 2 of Chapter 314, Session Laws of Colorado, 1947, to be satisfactorily complied with; and
WHEREAS the City Council did accept and approve the said petition for annexation by its Resolution dated August 16, 1950; and
WHEREAS notice of the filing of said petition has been published once each week for four publications in The Daily Sentinel, the first publication being on August 18, 1950, and the last publication being on September 8, 1950; and
WHEREAS more than 30 days have elapsed after the first publication of the said notice and no counter-petition or written objection to the said annexation has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Grand Junction:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:
That the said annexation is approved and that the following described property shall be and it is hereby declared to be annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:
Sherwood Addition as shown by the plat on file in the office of the County Clerk and Recorder of Mesa County, Colorado, which said Sherwood Addition is located in the SW1/4 of Section 11, Township 1 South, Range 1 West of the Ute Meridian, in Mesa County, Colorado
Passed and adopted this 4th day of October, A. D. 1950.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 814 was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 20th day of September, 1950, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
