ORDINANCE NO. 820
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL APPROPRIATION TO THE SEWER DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Since the 1950 budget was passed and adopted, additional expenses have been incurred in the Sewer Department on account of installing sewer taps and maintaining and cleaning the sewers, which were unforseen and arose after the passage of the annual appropriation ordinance:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:
Section 1. That there be and is hereby appropriated out of the unexpended receipts from sewer rentals and balance in that fund to the Sewer Department, the sum of Three Thousand Five Hundred ($3,500.00) Dollars.
By reason of the fact that it is necessary to provide funds to carry on the work in the Sewer Department for the balance of the year, a special emergency exists. Therefore, the City Council finds and determines that the passage of this ordinance is immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and it shall take effect upon its passage.
Passed and adopted this 21st day of December A. D. 1950.
