ORDINANCE NO. 831

 

 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 755, AS AMENDED CONCERNING CLASSIFICATION OF USES PERMITTED IN A RESIDENCE "A" DISTRICT.

 

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

 That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 755, as amended, shall be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:

 

 RESIDENCE "A" DISTRICT

 

 1. Single-family dwelling.

 

 2. Church, school, college, library, museum, community building, public building for local service and protection.

 

 3. Park, playground, recreation building, school or college stadium or tennis court or athletic field, golf course, polo field.

 

 4. Railroad right-of-way, not including railway yards; passenger station.

 

 5. Water supply, reservoir, well.

 

 6. Private club, excepting a club the chief activity of which is a service customarily carried on as a business.

 

 7. Non-commercial conservatory for plants and flowers.

 

 8. Farming and truck gardening.

 

 9. Private garage, as provided for in Section 5.

 

 10. Regulator stations owned and used by any public utility company for natural or artificial gas; and electric sub-stations.

 

 Passed and adopted this 21st day of February, 1951.
