ORDINANCE NO. 846
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL APPROPRIATION TO THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, since the 1951 budget was passed and adopted, additional expenses for the Recreation Department were incurred which were not foreseen at the time of the passage of the annual appropriation ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:
Section 1. That there be and is hereby appropriated out of the General Funds of the City the following amount:
A. To the Recreation Department the sum of Three Thousand ($3,000.00) Dollars.
By reason of the fact that it is necessary to provide funds to carry on the work of the Recreation Department for the balance of the year, a special emergency exists. Therefore, the City Council finds and determines that the passage of this ordinance is immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and it shall take effect upon its passage.
Passed and adopted this 19th day of December, 1951.
