ORDINANCE NO. 908

 

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION

 

 WHEREAS, a petition to annex the property hereinafter described to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, was filed with the City Clerk and considered by the City Council on January 19, 1955; and

 

 WHEREAS, the said City Council at that time found the said territory to be eligible for annexation, the petition to be signed by the required number of land owners, and all other requirements of Section 2 of Chapter 314, Session Laws of Colorado, 1947, to be satisfactorily complied with; and

 

 WHEREAS, the City Council did accept and approve the said petition for annexation by its Resolution dated January 19, 1955, and

 

 WHEREAS, notice of the filing of said petition has been published once each week for four publications in The Daily Sentinel, the first publication being on January 31, 1955, and the last publication being on February 21, 1955; and

 

 WHEREAS, thirty days have elapsed after the first publication of the said notice and no counter-petition or written objection to the said annexation has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Grand Junction:

 

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

 That the said annexation is approved and that the following described property shall be and it is hereby declared to be annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:

 

All that part of the W3/4 NW1/4 NE1/4, Section 12, Township 1 South, Range 1 West Ute Meridian, Mesa County, Colorado, lying South of the Grand Valley Canal, being also known as Bookcliff Manor Subdivision.

 

 Passed and adopted this 16th day of March, 1955.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 908 was introduced and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 2nd day of March, 1955, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel a newspaper published and in general circulation in said County at least ten days before its final passage.
