ORDINANCE NO. 910
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR SPECIAL APPROPRIATIONS.
WHEREAS, since the 1955 budget was passed and adopted additional expenses have been incurred or contemplated for contribution to the Firemen's Pension Fund, payment of intersection costs in connection with Improvement District No. 53, purchase of new radio equipment for the Fire and Police Departments, defraying expenses of the City Planning Commission, installation of intersection signal lights, and construction of a service center building;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:
Section 1. That there be appropriated from the General Fund of the City of Grand Junction:
a. To the Fire Fund for the purpose of contributing to the Firemen's Pension Fund the sum of $1,200.00;
b. To the Intersection Fund for the purpose of paying intersection costs in connection with Improvement District No. 53 the sum of $11,000.00;
c. To the Fire and Police Departments for new radio equipment the sum of $9,000.00;
d. To the Planning Commission of the City of Grand Junction for the purpose of defraying expenses of its operation the sum of $3,000.00;
e. To the Highway Department for the purpose of paying the cost of installing intersection signal lights the sum of $3,500.00.
f. To a special Building Account for the purpose of constructing a service center building to provide shops, warehouse, equipment storage and the like the sum of $75,000.00.
