ORDINANCE NO. 919

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 46 OF THE 1953 COMPILED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, RELATING TO PARKING METERS.

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 Section 1. Section 2 of Chapter 46 of the 1953 Compiled Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado (Section 2, Ordinance 753) is hereby amended to read as follows:

 A parking-metered zone within the City of Grand Junction is hereby established upon all the streets lying within the area bounded on the north by the north line of Grand Avenue, on the east by the east line of 8th Street, on the south by the north line of Ute Avenue, and on the west by the west line of 1st Street. In addition to the metered spaces heretofore established by ordinance, resolution or motion of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, other parking-metered spaces within such parking-metered zone may be designated and established by motions adopted from time to time by said City Council.

 Section 2. Section 3 of Chapter 46 of the 1953 Compiled Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado (Section 3, Ordinance 753) is hereby amended by eliminating and deleting therefrom the second sentence thereof which reads as follows:

"This provision shall apply to all metered spaces within said zone except that on Colorado Ave. between 3rd St. and 4th St. the metered spaces shall be alternated with parking spaces which are not metered."
