ORDINANCE NO. 923

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION

 WHEREAS, a Petition to annex the property hereinafter described to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, was filed with the City Clerk and considered by the City Council on June 1, 1955; and

 WHEREAS, the said City Council at that time found the said territory to be eligible for annexation, the Petition to be signed by the required number of landowners, and all other requirements of Section 2 of Chapter 314, Session Laws of Colorado, 1947, to be satisfactorily complied with; and

 WHEREAS, the City Council did accept and approve the said Petition for annexation by its Resolution dated June 1, 1955; and

 WHEREAS, Notice of the filing of said Petition has been published once each week for four publications in the Daily Sentinel, the first publication being on June 6, 1955, and the last publication being on June 27, 1955; and

 WHEREAS, thirty days have elapsed after the first publication of said Notice and no Counter-Petition or written objection to the said annexation has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Grand Junction;

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 That the said annexation is approved and that the following described property shall be and it is hereby declared to be annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado;

The South One-Half of Lot 6, Capitol Hill Sub-division, the East 25 feet of the South One-Half of Lot 5, Capitol Hill Sub-division, and the West 25 feet of the SE1/4 SE1/4 NE1/4, all in Section 11, Township 1 South, Range 1 West of the Ute Principal Meridian, Mesa County, Colorado;

 The above described property to be known as Monterey Park:

 Passed and adopted this 25th day of July, 1955.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 923 was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 1st day of June, 1955 and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City at least ten days before its final passage.
