ORDINANCE NO. 927
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO USE OF PARKING SPACE DURING CONSTRUCTION OR REMODELING AND RESTRICTING THE PRIVILEGES GRANTED BY SECTION 40, CHAPTER 84 OF THE 1953 COMPILED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:
Section 1. While building construction or remodeling is being performed and on payment by the builder to the City of Grand Junction of the sum of fifty cents ($.50) per day for each meter involved, the Chief of Police at his discretion may place an appropriate covering over any parking meter or meters in front of or near such construction or remodeling and the parking space or spaces at such location may be used for the placement of building materials as provided in Section 40, Chapter 84 of the 1953 Compiled Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, for the loading and unloading of building materials, tools and equipment and for the parking of any commercial vehicle required at such location for the necessary prosecution of the work. The privileges granted by said Section 40 shall not apply to areas in which there are parking meters except when permitted by the Chief of Police under the provisions of this section.
Section 2. Section 1 of this Ordinance shall be known as Section 13 of Chapter 46 of the 1953 Compiled Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.
