ORDINANCE NO. 933

 

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 14 (a), ARTICLE IV, CHAPTER 47 OF THE 1953 COMPILED ORDINANCES.

 

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

 Section 1. Sub-section (a) of Section 14, Article IV, Chapter 47 of the 1953 Compiled Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:

 

 "a.  Fifteen miles per hour in alleys, along playground areas or while passing school buildings, or grounds when school is in session, during school recess or when children are going to or leaving school during the opening and closing hours."

 

 Section 2. A special emergency exists and the passage of the foregoing ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety.

 

 PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 21st day of September, 1955.
