ORDINANCE NO. 935

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION

 WHEREAS, the Petition to annex the property hereinafter described to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, was filed with the City Clerk and considered by the Council on the 17th day of August, 1955; and

 WHEREAS, the City Council at that time found the said territory to be eligible for annexation, the Petition to be signed by the required number of land owners, and all other requirements of Section 2 of Chapter 314, Session Laws of Colorado, 1947, to be satisfactorily complied with; and

 WHEREAS, the City Council did accept and approve said Petition for annexation by its Resolution dated August 17, 1955; and

 WHEREAS, the Notice of filing of said Petition has been published once each week for four publications in the Daily Sentinel, the first publication being on September 1, 1955 and the last publication being on September 22, 1955; and

 WHEREAS, 30 days have elapsed after the first publication of said Notice and no counterpetition or written objection to the said annexation has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Grand Junction;

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 That the said annexation is approved and the following described property shall be and it is hereby declared to be annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:

Beginning at a point on the South line of Lot 21, Block 7, Grand River Subdivision, where the same intersects the West line of the SE1/4, Section 15, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian; thence West 620 feet, thence South 31o 56' East 951 feet, thence East 117 feet more or less to the West line of said SE1/4, thence North along the said West line 807 feet more or less to the point of beginning.

 PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of October, 1955.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 935 was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 5th day of October, 1955, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City at least ten days before its final passage.
