ORDINANCE NO. 943

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION.

 WHEREAS, the Petition to annex the property hereinafter described to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, was filed with the City Clerk and considered by the Council on the 19th day of October, 1955; and

 WHEREAS, the City Council at that time found the said territory to be eligible for annexation, the Petition to be signed by the required number of land owners, and all other requirements of Section 2 of Chapter 314, Session laws of Colorado, 1947, to be satisfactorily complied with; and

 WHEREAS, the City Council did accept and approve said Petition for annexation by its Resolution dated October 19, 1955; and

 WHEREAS, THE Notice of filing of said Petition has been published once each week for four publications in the Daily Sentinel, the first publication being on November 7, 1955 and the last publication being on November 28, 1955; and

 WHEREAS, 30 days have elapsed after the first publication of said Notice and no counterpetition or written objection to the said annexation has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Grand Junction;

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 That the said annexation is approved and the following described property shall be and it is hereby declared to be annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:

The North Half of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 12, Township 1 South, Range 1 West of the Ute Meridian, situate in the County of Mesa and State of Colorado.

 PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 21st day of December, 1955.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 943 was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 7th day of December, 1955, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City at least ten days before its final passage.
