ORDINANCE NO. 965
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL APPROPRIATION FROM THE WATER DEPARTMENT UNAPPROPRIATED FUNDS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, since the 1956 budget was passed and adopted, additional funds have had to be paid for refunds for water taps contemplated but not made;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:
Section 1. That there be appropriated from the Water Department unappropriated funds for the repayment of funds deposited for water taps, the sum of $1,000.00.
Section 2. It is hereby declared that a special emergency exists, that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, and that this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and be published within 3 days.
