ORDINANCE NO. 973

 

AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE ALLEY KNOWN AS KENNEDY LANE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

 

 WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 967, passed and adopted July 17, 1956, the City Council of Grand Junction, did vacate the alley known as Kennedy Lane;

 

 WHEREAS, the description of Kennedy Lane as set forth in such Ordinance was erroneous and it is necessary to pass this Ordinance to correctly set forth the description of the alley intended to be vacated;

 

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

 Section 1. The following described portion of alley known as Kennedy Lane, as set forth in the plat of Rose Park Subdivision, is hereby vacated:

 

Beginning at a point on the Southwest Corner of Lot 25 of Elm Avenue Subdivision, thence Southeasterly 32.5 feet, more or less, to the West Corner of Lot 33 in Block 1 of Rose Park Subdivision, thence East to the Northeast Corner of Lot 44 in Block 1 of Rose Park Subdivision, thence North 20 feet to the Southeast Corner of Lot 14 of Elm Avenue Subdivision, thence West to the point of beginning.

 

 Section 2. The Council finds that a special emergency exists and this Ordinance is passed as an emergency ordinance.

 

 PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 15th day of August, 1956.
