ORDINANCE NO. 978

 

AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF A STREET NEAR ST. MARY'S HOSPITAL

 

 WHEREAS, the portion of street hereinafter described is not being used for street purposes; and

 

 WHEREAS, the vacation thereof would not result in any hardship to the City of Grand Junction or the inhabitants thereof and would be beneficial to the interests of the public;

 

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

 That the portion of street hereinafter described be and the same is hereby vacated:

 

Beginning at a point 506 feet south of the N1/4 corner of Section 11, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, Mesa County, Colorado, thence west 40 feet; thence south 81.8 feet to the south line of the old Princeton University tract; thence north 73o 35' east 42.3 feet along the south line of the old Princeton University tract; thence north 70 feet to the point of beginning.

 

 Passed and adopted this 3rd day of October, 1956.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 978 was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 19th day of September, 1956, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City at least ten days before its final passage.
