ORDINANCE NO. 1015

 

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2 AND 3 OF CHAPTER 14 OF THE 1953 COMPILED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION.

 

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

 That Section 2 of Chapter 14 of the 1953 Compiled Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction shall be amended to read as follows:

 

 Section 2. LICENSES TO USE LINCOLN PARK. The City Council may grant a license to any responsible person, organization, firm or corporation for permission to use Lincoln Park and the buildings, grandstand and race track therein for public entertainments, the sale of food or other refreshments, ball games or any other athletic games or sports, races, stock shows, fairs and public exhibitions; provided, such person, association, firm or corporation shall agree to obey and conform with all rules and regulations now made or that may hereafter be made by the City Council in reference to the care, management and government of city parks.

 

 That Section 3 of Chapter 14 of the 1953 Compiled Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction shall be amended to read as follows:

 

 Section 3. LICENSEE PAY PERCENTAGE FOR USE. The person, association, firm or corporation using said Lincoln Park for any of the purposes named in Section 2 of this ordinance shall, in every case, when an admission fee or other charge is made, pay to the City of Grand Junction ten per cent of the gross receipts derived from said charges or in lieu thereof shall provide such services as the Council may permit and direct.
