ORDINANCE NO. 1017
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE 1953 COMPILED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, CHANGING THE FORM OF THE SEAL FOR SAID CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:
That Section 1 of Chapter 2 of the 1953 Compiled Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction be amended to read as follows:
Section 1. CITY SEAL DESCRIBED. A seal, the impression of which has in the center, at the top thereof, a design formed by three ellipses to designate the nucleus of the atom with its electrons rotating around it, with a semicircular sunburst behind such design, in the center thereof, a replica of the Grand Junction City Hall, and at the bottom thereof a likeness of Mt. Garfield, and around the outer edge of such seal the words "City of Grand Junction, Colorado," shall be, and is hereby, established and declared to be the seal of the City of Grand Junction; said seal shall be of circular shape.
Passed and adopted this 18th day of September, 1957.
