ORDINANCE NO. 1060

 

AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING FUNDS OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION FROM THE NEW SWIMMING POOL CONSTRUCTION FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

 

 WHEREAS, heretofore the sum of $1,921.40 has been credited to the new swimming Pool Construction Fund out of funds remaining from the construction of the new swimming pool within the City; and,

 

 WHEREAS, the City oversubscribed its portion of the cost of the construction of the new swimming pool and the money should therefore be credited to the General Fund of the City;

 

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

 1. That the sum of $1,921.40 be, and the same hereby is, transferred from the New Swimming Pool Construction Fund to the General Fund of the City of Grand Junction.

 

 2. It is hereby declared that a special emergency exists; that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety; and that this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage.

 

 PASSED AND ADOPTED this tenth day of December, 1958.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing emergency ordinance, entitled "AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING FUNDS OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION FROM THE NEW SWIMMING POOL CONSTRUCTION FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY," was introduced, read, passed and adopted as an emergency ordinance, numbered 1060 and ordered published by the unanimous vote of the members of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, at a regular adjourned meeting of said Council held on the 10th day of December, 1958.
