ORDINANCE NO. 1061

 

AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING INTEREST EARNED ON INVESTED POLICE BUILDING FUNDS TO THE POLICE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION FUND AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

 

 WHEREAS, certain monies have accrued as interest through the investment of police building funds; and,

 

 WHEREAS, such monies should be utilized in the construction of the police building;

 

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

 1. That the sum of Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy Dollars ($8,770.00) earned as interest on invested police building funds be appropriated to, and the same hereby is appropriated to, the Police Building Construction Fund.

 

 2. It is hereby declared that a special emergency exits [exists]; that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety; and that this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage.

 

 PASSED AND ADOPTED this tenth day of December, 1958.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing emergency ordinance, entitled "AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING INTEREST EARNED ON INVESTED POLICE BUILDING FUNDS TO THE POLICE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION FUND AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY", was introduced, read, passed and adopted as an emergency ordinance, numbered 1061 and ordered published by the unanimous vote of the members of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, at a regular adjourned meeting of said Council held on the 10th day of December, 1958.
