ORDINANCE NO. 1076
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES FROM THE CONTINGENT FUND OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION TO THE MUNICIPAL COURT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS an emergency has arisen in the operation of the municipal court of the City of Grand Junction in regard to the staffing thereof; and
WHEREAS it is necessary to provide for additional help together with additional furniture and equipment for the balance of the year 1959;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:
1. That there be appropriated from contingent funds of the City of Grand Junction the sum of Two Thousand and Five Hundred ($2,500.00) Dollars for the use of the municipal court to provide for an additional clerk, a desk and a chair, all for the balance of the year 1959.
2. It is hereby declared that a special emergency exists; that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety; and that this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing emergency ordinance, entitled AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES FROM THE CONTINGENT FUND OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION TO THE MUNICIPAL COURT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY was introduced, read, passed and adopted as an emergency ordinance, numbered 1076 and ordered published by the unanimous vote of the members of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 20th day of May, 1959.
