ORDINANCE NO. 1095
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES TO THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate monies in addition to the monies budgeted for the year 1959 to the Sanitation Department for the purpose of additional monies paid to Rex G. Phelps to insure the continued adequate collection of garbage within the City of Grand Junction and for the purpose of providing additional monies for trash haul to permit the continued adequate handling of such trash hauling;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:
Section 1. That there be, and there hereby is, appropriated to the Sanitation Department budget from receipts derived from garbage and trash haul charges the sum of Eight Thousand Six Hundred ($8,600.00) Dollars to defray the expenses of additional charges for collection of garbage and to provide for the extra crew and handling of the additional trash hauling.
Section 2. It is hereby declared that a special emergency exists; that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety; and that this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing emergency ordinance, entitled "AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES TO THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY," was introduced, read, passed and adopted as an emergency ordinance, numbered 1095 and ordered published by the unanimous vote of the members of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 18th day of November, 1959.
