ORDINANCE NO. 1111

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION

 WHEREAS A Petition to annex the property hereinafter described to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, was filed with the City Clerk and considered by the City Council on May 4, 1960; and,

 WHEREAS the said City Council at that time found the said territory to be eligible for annexation, the Petition to be signed by the required number of landowners, and all other requirements of Section 2 of Chapter 314, Session Laws of Colorado, 1947, to be satisfactorily complied with; and,

 WHEREAS, the City Council did accept and approve the said Petition for annexation by its Resolution dated June 1, 1960; and,

 WHEREAS Notice of the filing of said Petition has been published once each week for four publications in The Daily Sentinel, the first publication being on June 6, 1960, and the last publication being on June 27, 1960; and,

 WHEREAS, 30 days have elapsed after the first publication of said Notice and no counter-petition or written objection to the said annexation has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Grand Junction;

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 That the said annexation is approved and that the following-described property shall be, and it is hereby declared to be annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:

Beginning at the Northwest corner of the South half of the Southeast quarter of Section 10, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, thence South 1303.70 feet to the South quarter corner of said Section 10, thence East along the South line of Section 10 to the Southeast corner of said Section 10, thence North 100 feet, thence North 89º43' West 260.2 feet, thence North 44º43' West 141.4 feet, thence North 89º43' West 167.3 feet, thence Northwesterly by curve right on a radius of 3620 feet for 796 feet to a point on the West line of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of .said Section 10, thence Northwesterly along the North line of the Highway right of say to a point on the East line of the West half of the Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 10, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, which is 894.5 feet South of the Northeast corner of said West half of the Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 10, thence North 894.5 feet to the Northeast corner of said West half of the Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 10, thence West 670.7 feet to the point of beginning, Mesa County, Colorado.

 PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of August, 1960.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No.1111 was introduced read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 6th day of July, 1960, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City at least ten days before its final passage.
