ORDINANCE NO. 1114

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO

THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION

 WHEREAS, A Petition to annex the property hereinafter described to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, was filed with the City Clerk and considered by the City Council on June 1, 1960; and,

 WHEREAS the said City Council at that time found the said territory to be eligible for annexation, the Petition to be signed by the required number of landowners, and all other requirements of Section 2 of Chapter 314, Session Laws of Colorado, 1947, to be satisfactorily complied with; and,

 WHEREAS, the City Council did accept and approve the said Petition for annexation by its Resolution dated June 1, 1960; and,

 WHEREAS Notice of the filing of said Petition has been published once each week for four publications in The Daily Sentinel, the first publication being on June 6, 1960, and the last publication being on June 27, 1960; and,

 WHEREAS, thirty days have elapsed after the first publication of said Notice and no counter-petition or written objection to the said annexation has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Grand Junction;

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION COLORADO:

 That the said annexation is approved and that the following-described property shall be, and it is hereby declared to be, annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado;

Beginning at a point on the 7th Street monument line which is 57.55 feet West of the Northwest corner of Yockum Subdivision, thence East 57.55 feet to said Northwest corner, thence East along the north line of Yockum Subdivision to the Northeast corner of said subdivision, thence East to the Southeasterly right of way line of Little Bookcliff R.R., thence Southwesterly along said right of way line to the intersection with Bookcliff Avenue monument line, thence West along said monument line to City monument at 7th and Bookcliff, thence North to the point of beginning, Mesa County, Colorado.

 PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of August, 1960.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1114, was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 6th day of July, 1960, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation said City at least ten days before its final passage.
