ORDINANCE NO. 1127

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION

WHEREAS, a Petition to annex the property hereinafter described to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, was filed with the City Clerk and considered by the City Council on December 7, 1960; and

WHEREAS, the said City Council at that time found the said territory to be eligible for annexation, the Petition to be signed by the required number of landowners, and all other requirements of Section 2 of Chapter 314, Session Laws of Colorado, 1947, to be satisfactorily complied with; and

WHEREAS, the City Council did accept and approve the said Petition for annexation by its Resolution dated December 7, 1960, and,

WHEREAS, Notice of the filing of said Petition has been published once each week for four publications in The Daily Sentinel, the first publication being on December 12, 1960, and the last publication being on January 2, 1961; and,

WHEREAS, thirty days have elapsed after the first publication of said Notice and no counter-petition or written objection to the said annexation has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Grand Junction:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That the said annexation is approved and that the following described property shall be, and it is hereby declared to be, annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:

Beginning at a point 30 feet North of the Northwest corner of Lot 3, Block 1, Fairmount Subdivision, Mesa County, Colorado, thence East 330 feet, thence South 330 feet, thence West 330 feet, thence North 330 feet to point of beginning.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 1st day of February, 1961.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1127, was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 18th day of January, 1961, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City at least ten days before its final passage.
