ORDINANCE NO. 1183

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF CHAPTER 20 OF THE 1953 COMPILED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, INCREASING THE SEWER RENTAL CHARGES ON ALL CATEGORIES OF SERVICE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That Section 1 of Chapter 20 of the 1953 Compiled Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, be amended to read as follows:

 CHAPTER 20. SEWERS

 Section 1. SEWER RENTAL CHARGES. That commencing with water and sewer bills dated January 1, 1964, there shall be levied and assessed upon each lot, parcel of land, building or premises situated within the limits of the City of Grand Junction and having any connection with the sewer system of said City, sewer service charges or rentals as follows:

 a. Single family dwelling    $1.25 per month

 b. Multiple family dwelling    $1.25 per month plus $.65

  of three units or less      per unit per month for each

               unit over one

c. Multiple family dwelling    $2.50 per month plus $.35

               per month for each additional

               unit over three

 d. Rooming houses        $1.25 per month plus $.20

               per month for each room

               available for renting

 e. Commercial properties      Thirty-three per cent of the

  including hotels and motels  charge made for water to the

               closest multiple of five (5)

               cents
