ORDINANCE NO. 1184

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 33 OF CHAPTER 81 OF THE 1953 COMPILED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, TO PROVIDE FOR THE COLLECTION OF THE INSTALLMENT PAYING OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS OF THE CITY BY THE COUNTY TREASURER IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS FOR COLLECTION OF GENERAL TAXES.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That Section 33 of Chapter 81 of the 1953 Compiled Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, be amended to read as follows:

Section 33. TIMES OF PAYMENTS DETERMINED BY COUNCIL. Subject to the foregoing requirements, all installments, both of principal and interest, shall be payable at such times as may be determined in and by the assessing ordinances; provided, however, the County Treasurer shall be permitted, without the assessment of penalty or penalty interest, to collect such installments in accordance with the statutory provisions for collection of general taxes within the State of Colorado.
