ORDINANCE NO. 1221
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING CERTAIN SUMS OF MONEY TO DEFRAY THE NECESSARY EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1966 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1966 AND FIXING THE SALARY OF THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:
Section 1. That the following sums of money, or so much thereof as maybe necessary, be and the same are hereby appropriated for the purpose of defraying the necessary expenses and liabilities of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1966 and ending December 31, 1966, said sums to be derived from the various revenue funds as indicated:

The following sum shall be appropriated to the Stores & Printing Division, said sum to be derived from charges to various departments using materials stocked in "Stores Inventory" and having printing done by the City printing operation.
For Stores & Printing Division in the Finance Dept $122,820
Revenue from Stores Fund: $122,820
The following sum shall be appropriated to the Equipment Division, said sum to be derived from equipment rentals to be charged the various departments of the City for use of said equipment from the appropriations of their respective departments.
For Equipment Division in the Public Works Dept ....... $281,946 Revenue from Equipment Fund $281,946
Section 2. That the following amounts are hereby levied for collection in the year 1965 and for the specific purpose indicated.
For General Fund (based on General Fund appropriation)
Fifteen mills (15.0) ................................ $537,112
Section 3. That commencing January 1, 1966, the salary of the City Manager of the City of Grand junction, Colorado shall be fourteen thousand four hundred ninety-six ($14,496) dollars per annum.
Section 4. It is hereby declared that a special emergency exists and that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace. health and safety and shall take effect upon its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing emergency ordinance entitled AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING CERTAIN SUMS OF MONEY TO DEFRAY THE NECESSARY EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1966 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1966 AND FIXING THE SALARY OF THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY was introduced, read, passed and adopted as an emergency ordinance, numbered 1221 and ordered published by the unanimous vote of the members of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 1st day of December, 1965.
