ORDINANCE NO. 1223

 

AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR HORIZON

DRIVE SANITARY SEWER PROJECT, AND DECLARING

AN EMERGENCY

 

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

 Section 1. That there be transferred and appropriated from budgetary account 85.31 (Sewer plant improvement) the sum of Twenty Seven Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-One Dollars ($27,681.00) and from budgetary account 85.19-11 (Sewer operating capital fund) the sum of Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00) to the Horizon Drive Sewer Line project, such sums to be carried over into 1966 if the same is necessary.

 

 Section 2. That since it is necessary to begin construction as soon as possible in the best interests of the City and its environs, it is hereby declared that a special emergency exists, that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety and shall take effect upon its passage.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing emergency ordinance, entitled AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR HORIZON DRIVE SANITARY SEWER PROJECT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY was introduced, read, passed and adopted as an emergency ordinance, numbered 1223 and ordered published by the unanimous vote of the members of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 1st day of December, 1965.
