ORDINANCE NO. 1246
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 31-12 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION BY ADDING THERETO A SUBSECTION (e) ESTABLISHING WATER CHARGES FOR CERTAIN UNMETERED WATER
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:
That Section 31-12 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction be amended by adding thereto a subsection (e), which shall read as follows:
(e) Rate of unmetered water.
Where it is presently impractical to install water meters to measure the consumption of water for irrigation purposes by users within or outside the City (the word users not here including the City of Grand Junction), a charge to each such user, for the period April through September of each year, shall be made. Such charge shall be determined by multiplying the acreage involved by two (the average acre feet of water used for irrigation purposes) with this total then being multiplied by $71.50. Such computed charge may be paid monthly during the term of use or as a lump sum payment as determined by the water department and user.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of November, 1966.
