ORDINANCE NO. 1284

 

 AN ORDINANCE VACATING CERTAIN ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY

 IN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION

 

WHEREAS, request has been made to the City Council of the City of Grand Junction to vacate the portion of road right-of-way hereinafter described; and

 

WHEREAS, such vacation would not be detrimental to the City or the inhabitants thereof, and would permit a more orderly development of the area with which the right-of-way is concerned:

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

That the following described road right-of-way, situate in Mesa County, Colorado, to-wit:

 

Beginning at a point which bears North 89o 53' West 100 feet from the Northeast Corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 7, Township 1 South, Range 1 East of the Ute Meridian, thence 130.9 feet along the arc of a 50 foot radius curve to the left, the chord of which bears North 14o 53' West 96.6 feet, thence continuing 130.9 feet along the arc of said curve, the Chord of which bears South 15o 07' West 96.6 feet, thence South 89o 53' East 50.0 feet to the Point or beginning,

 

be, and the same is hereby, vacated.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1284, was introduced read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 6th day of March, 1968, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City at least ten days before its passage.
