ORDINANCE NO. 1301

 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION BY ADDING THERETO A SECTION 10 TO PROVIDE FOR A TRANSPORTATION CHARGE FOR THE USE OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT RESCUE UNITS

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 That Chapter 12 of the 4 Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction be amended by adding thereto and enacting a Section 10, which shall read as follows:

 Section 10. Fire Department Rescue Unit Transportation Charge.

     1. Beginning January 1, 1969, the appropriate charge shall be made for transporting persons in the City of Grand Junction Fire Department Rescue Unit or other units of the Fire Department of the City from the scene of an accident or otherwise. Such charges shall be as follows:

 a. Transportation entirely within the City $15.00

 b. Transportation entirely within the Grand

   Junction Rural Fire Protection District

   and the City $20.00

 c. Transportation any portion of which is

   outside both the City and the Grand Junction

   Rural Fire Protection District. The charge

   shall be $20.00 plus $0.50 per mile from the

   point or pick up to the destination.

 2. The charges shall be billed to the person transported or to the parents of any minor child who is transported. Where two or more persons are transported at one time, the charge shall be divided equally among them.
