ORDINANCE NO. 1314

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION TO PROVIDE A LICENSE FEE AND PROCEDURES FOR ISSUING LICENSES TO CONTRACT HAULERS OF REFUSE AND GARBAGE, AND PROVIDING CHARGES FOR TWO YARD SANITATION TANKS.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

1. That Section 5 of Chapter 14 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction be amended as follows:

Section 14-5. Licensing Procedure.

Licenses referred to hereunder shall be granted in accordance with Chapter 17, Article I of this Code and under regulations established by the Utilities Director. Such license shall be issued upon payment of a license fee of $25.00, which fee shall be for the calendar year, or portion thereof, and shall be revocable upon violation of any regulation established by the Utilities Director.

2. That Section 12 (2) of Chapter 14 of said Code shall be amended by the addition of a subsection (e), which shall read as follows:

(e) The service on a monthly rate for collection from two (2) yard sanitation tanks shall be as follows:

Once a week service . . . $6.00

Each additional tank per pick up . . . 4.50

Rental for City owned tanks . . . 5.00

Should more frequent pickups be required, the above charges, with the exception of the tank rental, shall be multiplied by the number of additional pickups made.
