ORDINANCE NO. 1326 (E Grand Ave (enclave) E of School adm & So to Freeway)

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO

WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of July, 1969, a hearing was held before the City Council of the City of Grand Junction to determine the eligibility for annexation to the City of the territory hereinafter described; and

WHEREAS, after said hearing, the City Council determined that said territory was eligible for annexation, that all of the requirements of the Municipal Annexation Act of 1965 had been met, and that no election was required under the terms of the Act;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

That the following described territory, situate in Mesa County, Colorado, to-wit:

Beginning at a point 30' South of the Northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of Section 13, Township 1 South, Range 1 West of the Ute Principal Meridian in Mesa County Colorado. Thence West along the South line of Grand Avenue right-of-way 1429.51 feet, Thence South 431.74 feet, Thence West 520 feet, Thence South along East line of 21st Street right-of-way to its intersection with south line of Rood Avenue right-of-way projected, Thence West 60 feet to the West line of 21st Street right-of-way, Thence South along said West line of the 21st Street right-of-way as projected to the intersection with the Southerly line of Highway 6 and 24 right-of-way, Thence Northeasterly along said Southerly line to the Northeast corner of Bauer Holding and INVESTMENT COMPANY Tract as described in Book 663 Page 286 Mesa County Records, Thence Southerly along the Easterly line of said Bauer tract to the intersection with the Northerly right-of-way line of the Denver Rio Grande and Western Railroad, Thence Northeasterly along said Northerly line to the intersection with the East line of the Southeast One Quarter of said Section 13, Thence North along said East line to the point of beginning.

be, and the same is hereby, annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of July, 1969.
