ORDINANCE NO. 1347

 

AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF STREET AND ALLEY WITHIN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION.

 

WHEREAS, the portions of street and alley hereinafter described, although platted, have not been opened or used as such; and

 

WHEREAS, the vacation of said portions of street and alley would not deprive anyone of access to property and would be beneficial to the orderly development of the land which it affects:

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 

1. That the following portions of street and alley within the City of Grand Junction, Mesa County, Colorado, to-wit:

 

All of the road South of and adjoining the Mesa County Ditch shown on the plat of Harr Addition to the City of Grand Junction, filed February 17, 1937, in Plat Book 5 at Page 12 and lying West of the West line of the alley extended North in said Addition; and

 

That part of the West Five (5) feet of the alley adjoining Block 3, in High School Addition, lying South of Glenwood Avenue right-of-way;

 

be and the same are hereby vacated.

 

2. It is expressly understood that it is not hereby intended to vacate any portion of Glenwood Avenue right-of-way as it presently exists nor any portion of the North-South alleyway between 6th Street and 7th Street and North Avenue and Glenwood Avenue as it presently exists.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1347, was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 17th day of December, 1969, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City at least ten days before its final passage.
