ORDINANCE NO. l4O4

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY

OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO

 WHEREAS, on the 20th day of October, 1971, a hearing was held before the City Council of the City of Grand Junction to determine the eligibility for annexation to the City of Grand Junction the territory hereinafter described; and

 WHEREAS, after said hearing, the City Council determined that said territory was eligible for annexation, that all of the requirements of the Municipal Annexation Act of 1965 had been met, and that no election was required under the terms of the Act;

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 That the following described territory, situate in Mesa County, Colorado, to wit:

 Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 11, Block 4, Fairmount Subdivision; thence East twenty-six feet to present City limit line; thence North along said line to the South line of the Grand Valley Canal; thence Westerly along South line of the Grand Valley Canal to intersection with Northerly projection centerline 15th Street; thence South along said center line to a point thirty feet West and thirty feet South of the Southwest Corner of Lot 21, Block 7, Fairmount Subdivision; thence East to the East line of 17th Street right-of way; thence South 30 feet; thence East to the point of beginning,

be, and the same is hereby, annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

 PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of November, 1971.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1404 was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 20th day of October, 1971, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
