ORDINANCE NO. 1422

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO

WHEREAS, on the 22nd day of March, 1972, an adjourned hearing was held before the City Council of the City of Grand Junction to determine the eligibility for annexation to the City of the territory hereinafter described; and

WHEREAS, after said hearing, the City Council determined that said territory was eligible for annexation, that all of the requirements of the Municipal Annexation Act of 1965 had been met, and that no election was required under the terms of the Act;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

That the following described territory, situate in Mesa County, Colorado, to wit:

Lot 24 of Block 11 and all of Block 12, Mesa Gardens Subdivision; and

The West one half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 18 of Township One South of Range One East of the Ute Meridian EXCEPT that part of said tracts which lies in the road right of way for Highway 6 and 24 and road right of way for Grand Avenue,

be, and the same is hereby, annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of April, 1972.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1422, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at an adjourned meeting of said body held on the 22d day of March, 1972, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
