ORDINANCE NO. 1435

AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF STREET WITHIN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION

WHEREAS, the portion of street hereinafter described has been petitioned for vacation; and

WHEREAS, the vacation of said portion of street would not deprive anyone of access to property and would be beneficial to the orderly development of the land which it affects; and

WHEREAS, such vacation has been approved by the Planning Commission;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

1. That the following portion of a street within the City of Grand Junction, Mesa County, Colorado, to wit:

That part of 10th Street lying North of the North boundary line of Walnut Avenue and South of the South boundary line of Bookcliff Avenue, except the North 20 feet of the South 149.9 feet thereof, and reserving unto the City of Grand Junction an easement for the installation and maintenance for public utilities over and across the East thirty feet thereof,

be, and the same is, hereby vacated.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of September, 1972.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1435, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 5th day of July, 1972, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
