ORDINANCE NO. 1445
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the real property hereinafter described is wholly owned by the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, and is not solely a public street or right of way; and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of annexing the territory to the City of Grand Junction;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:
1. THAT the following described property be, and it is hereby, annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Mesa County, Colorado, to wit:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter Section 26 Township 1 South Range 1 West Ute Meridian; thence West along North line of said Northwest Quarter Southwest Quarter to intersection with Easterly right of way line of Denver and Rio Grande Railroad; thence Southeasterly along said right of way line to intersection with South line of Section 26; thence East along said South line to the center line of said Section 26; thence North along said center line to the North line at the South Half Southwest Quarter said Section 26; thence East to the East line West Quarter Northwest Quarter Southeast Quarter; thence North along said East line to a point 360 feet South of the North line said West Quarter Northwest Quarter Southeast Quarter; thence West to the East line Northwest Quarter Southwest Quarter Section 26; thence North 110 feet; thence East 250 feet; thence North 250 feet; thence West 250 feet to the point of beginning.
2. This Ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and shall become effective upon passage.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of November, 1972.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing emergency ordinance, entitled AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY was introduced, read, passed and adopted as an emergency ordinance, numbered 1445, and ordered published by the unanimous vote of the members of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 15th day of November, 1972.
