ORDINANCE NO. 1451

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE DEFINITION OF THE USE

GROUP CATEGORY OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY

OF GRAND JUNCTION ENTITLED NURSERY SCHOOLS AND

DAY NURSERIES.

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 That Section 3-a-(3)-3.2 of Chapter 32 of the Code of Ordinances of

the City of Grand Junction be amended to read as follows:

Section 3. Zone Classifications

a. Use Groups

(3) Institutional Use

3.2 Nursery Schools and Day Nurseries. . . an

establishment providing specialized group

care on a planned, regular basis for more

than six children and who are away from their

homes any part of the day, but not overnight.

This use cannot be considered a home occupation

unless it is accessory to the use of the

building as a dwelling and meets other

conditions for a home occupation.

 PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of January, 1973.
