ORDINANCE NO. 1479

AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING CERTAIN SUMS OF MONEY TO

DEFRAY THE NECESSARY EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE

CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR

BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1974, and ENDING DECEMBER 31,

1974, AND FIXING THE SALARY OF THE CITY MANAGER OF

SAID CITY.

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

SECTION 1. That the following sums of money, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same are hereby appropriated for the purpose of de-

fraying the necessary expenses and liabilities of the City of Grand Junction,

Colorado, for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1974, and ending December 31, 1974, said sums to be derived from the various revenue funds as indicated:

   For the expenditures of the General Fund $3,357,031

For the expenditures of the Streets and Storm 1,102,777 Drainage Fund

For the expenditures of the Water-Sewer Fund 1,610,276 For the expenditures of the Sanitation Fund 308,410 For the expenditures of the Swimming Pools Fund 36,503 For the expenditures of the Cemetery Fund 87,035 For the expenditures of the Park Improvement Fund 6,001 For the expenditures of the Land Fund 120,100

Total - 1974 $6,628,133

The following sum shall be appropriated to the Finance Department,

said sum to be derived from charges to various departments using materials

stocked in "Stores Inventory" and having printing done by the City printing

operation and services rendered by Data Processing.

For Stores, Printing, & Data Processing Division on

the Finance Department $ 313,639

Revenue from Stores & Printing Fund $192,707

Revenue from Data Processing Fund 120,932

The following sum shall be appropriated to the Equipment Division, said

sum to be derived from equipment rentals to be charged the various depart-ments of the City for use of said equipment from the appropriations of their respective departments.

For Equipment Division in the Public Works Dept. $ 599,830

Revenue from Equipment Fund $599,830

The following sums shall be appropriated to the following funds, said

sum to be derived from revenue received from the State and local Fiscal Assistance Act of 1972.

Total Revenue Sharing Fund $ 678,895

Revenue to General Fund $297,500

Revenue to Streets & Storm Drainage Fund 221,000

Revenue to Water/Sewer Fund 140,296

Revenue to Land Fund 20,099

Section 2. That the following amounts are hereby levied for Collects

in the year 1974 and for the specific purpose indicated.

For General Fund (based on General Fund Appropriation)

Fourteen mills (14.0) $ 681,358

Section 3. That commencing January 1, 1974, the annual salary of the

City Manager of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, shall be Nineteen Thousand Dollars ($19,000.).
