ORDINANCE NO. 1514

 

AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF STREET AND CUL-DE-SAC IN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO.

 

WHEREAS, the portion of street and cul-de-sac hereinafter described has been petitioned for vacation; and

 

WHEREAS, such vacation has been approved by the Planning Commission and the City Engineer, would not deprive anyone of access to property and would not be detrimental to the inhabitants of the City of Grand Junction;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

That the following portion of street and cul-de-sac within the City of Grand Junction, Mesa County, Colorado, dedicated by a document recorded in Book 924 at Page 298 in the Mesa County records, to wit:

 

A road right of way 50 feet in width, 25.0 feet each side of following described centerline:

 

Beginning at a point on the East line of Section 10 Township 1 South Range 1 West Ute Meridian which bears North 00° 05' West 440.5 feet from the Southeast corner of Section 10 Township 1 South Range 1 West Ute Meridian; thence South 87° 25' West 296.0 feet to Point No. 1; thence South 89° 25' West 50.0 feet; except the East 50 feet of said tract:

 

ALSO:

 

A cul-de-sac consisting of those sectors of a circle extending beyond the limits of the above described right of way when circumscribed on a 50 foot radius from the center which is South 00° 25' East 15.0 feet from Point No. 1 as described above.

 

be, and the same is hereby, vacated subject to easements for existing utilities.

 

PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of July, 1974.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1514, was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 3rd day of July, 1974, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
