ORDINANCE NO. 1548

ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

WHEREAS, the property hereinafter described has been entirely contained within the boundaries of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, for more than three years, and

WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of annexing said territory to the City of Grand Junction,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That pursuant to 31-8-106, C.R.S. 1973, the territory situate in Mesa County, Colorado, and described as:

Beginning at a point 30 feet North of the North Line of Section 12, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian which point is 60 feet North of the Northwest corner Lot 1, El Corona Subdivision, thence South 418 feet, thence West 209 feet, thence South to the Grand Valley Canal, thence Westerly along said canal to the West line Northeast one quarter Northwest one quarter of said Section 12, thence North to a point 30 feet North of the North line said Section 12, thence East parallel to said North line Section 12 to the point of beginning:

is hereby annexed to the City of Grand Junction.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of February, 1975.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1548, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 15th day of January 1975, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
