ORDINANCE NO. 1550

ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

WHEREAS, the property hereinafter described has been entirely contained within the boundaries of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, for more than three years, and

WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of annexing said territory to the City of Grand Junction,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That pursuant to 31-8-106, C.R.S. 1973, the territory situate in Mesa County, Colorado, and described as:

Beginning at a point 445.49 feet East and 30 feet South of the point of intersection of the Easterly line of Little Bookcliff R.R. right-of-way and the North line of Bookcliff Avenue, thence East to a point 215 feet West of the East line Section 11, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Ute Meridian, thence North 160 feet, thence West 25 feet, thence North 170 feet, thence East 160 feet to West line 12th Street, thence North to intersection said West line 12th Street and Northerly line Grand Valley Canal, thence Northwesterly along Northerly line of said canal to intersection with Easterly line Little Bookcliff R.R., thence South 32° 50' West 606 feet, thence East to a point North of the Point of Beginning, thence South to the Point of Beginning:

is hereby annexed to the City of Grand Junction.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1550, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 15th day of January, 1975, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
