ORDINANCE NO. 1557

AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE CITY SEAL, SECTION 2.1 OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That Section 2.1 of Chapter 2 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, be amended to read:

Section 2.1. A seal, the impression of which has in the center a landscape depicting the skyline of the City against symbolic mesas of the valley with the sun in the upper left quadrant and which has around the outer edge thereof the words "City of Grand Junction. Colorado", is hereby declared to be the seal of the City. Said seal shall be of a circular shape.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1557, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 2nd day of January, 1975, and that the same was published in the Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
