ORDINANCE NO. 1602

 

AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF SECOND AVENUE BETWEEN 9TH AND 10TH STREETS IN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION.

 

WHEREAS, the portion of the street hereinafter described has been petitioned for vacation; and

 

WHEREAS, such vacation has been approved by the Planning Commission, would not deprive anyone of access to property and would not be detrimental to the inhabitants of the City of Grand Junction:

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 

That the following portion of street within the City of Grand Junction, Mesa County, Colorado, to wit:

 

That part of the Second Avenue as recorded on the Plat of Milldale Subdivision, lying between the East right-of-way line of Ninth Street and the West right-of-way line of Tenth Street,

 

be, and the same is hereby vacated subject to easements for existing utilities.

 

PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of January, 1976.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1602, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 17th day of December, 1975, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
