ORDINANCE NO. 1656

 

AN ORDINANCE SUBMITTING TO THE ELECTORATE OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION THE QUESTION OF THE SALE OR TRADE OF CERTAIN PARK LANDS WITHIN THE CITY

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 

That there be submitted to the qualified electors of the City of Grand Junction at the regular election on April 5, 1977, the question of the sale or trade of certain park lands within the City as hereinafter set out:

 

1. Shall the City Council be authorized to sell or trade, for at least the appraised value thereof, Lots 26 and 29 in Bookcliff Manor Subdivision; if traded, the lands traded for to be used for park purposes, and, if sold, the monies to be used toward the acquisition of other park lands.

AGAINST THE SALE OR TRADE

 

2. Shall the City Council be authorized to sell or trade, for at least the appraised value thereof, Lots 14 and 19 of Block 1 in South Fifth Street Subdivision; if traded, the lands traded for to be used for park purposes, and, if sold, the monies to be used toward the acquisition of other park lands.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1656, was introduced, read, and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 5th day of January, 1977, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its final passage.
